Monaco's hope in the world ski circuit Alexandra Coletti.

A drama! Alexandra Coletti, the hope of the Monegasque Sports Confederation and flag bearer at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, suffered a herniated disc with dramatic consequences while training in Austria. Already during a training descent she felt a stitch and the beginning of numbness in her leg. Then suddenly additional weakness in the leg. She was able to get to the finish line without falling. When she arrived at the bottom, she suddenly noticed a lack of strength in her leg. With the rescue helicopter she was taken to Germany to see Dr. Schubert flown. An emergency operation was performed on the same day to prevent an impending cauda syndrome.
